Off the grid - On the grid
In the future world, where technology will penetrate every aspect of life- the sense of personal control will be dramatically reduced. However, we witness people who oppose to this situation and choose to live differently: Living their lives off the grid. They prefer living under the radar, without formal identity or being depended on bureaucracy and infrastructure. Nonetheless,, living outside of the grid does not necessarily mean physically living outside the urban grid. The project offers an alternative living option for those who want to live off the grid – on the grid, in the center of Manhattan. As they live on the roof of a skyscraper like the parasites in the wild nature, they utilize any unused resources of the existing building.
